DFSA Conduct Principles: Four things your firm should have in place before 1 July
With the DFSA’s 1st July implementation date for the extension of the Conduct Principles fast approaching, firms need to ensure that they are fully prepared for the change.
Here are four key things that firms should have done before this date:
- Understand the detail of the changes:
The DFSA made several changes to its proposals following consultation. Firms need to ensure they fully understand the new requirements.
- Identify the relevant employees:
Firms need to be confident they have identified all those employees who are within scope of the new rules.
- Assess the impact:
The changes will potentially impact multiple internal policies and procedures, all of which need to be updated to reflect the new requirements.
- Train relevant staff:
Firms need to communicate the changes effectively to all relevant employees. This could include the use of a blended learning approach to ensure that the changes are fully embedded within the firm.
We can help with your firms Conduct Principles training in time for the 1st July implementation date.
Our Conduct Principles courses are designed not only to give senior management the confidence that relevant employees can understand the revised principles, but also apply them in the context of their role. Courses include eLearning, live instructor-led training, and complimentary webinars.
